Swimwear Collection: Sustainable Brands

Every month there is a new swimwear brand to choose from, but very few of them actually makes efforts towards sustainability. I narrowed my search down to three brands I believe should be trending right now for offering pieces that are one-off and conscious of the materials they use. After all, we don’t just want one bathing suit this summer, we want them all!

Its Now Cool

This brand name is so fitting, they really are making 90’s styles cool again. The collection of suits I saw from them are completely unique, like the one below. This brand supports initiatives that protect our planet by using regenerated nylon made from industrial waste, such as discarded fishing nets, in some styles within their collections.

Mora Girls

If you’re from the East Coast of Florida, you probably know about Mora Girls. They are the IT girls of local sustainable swimwear. They handcraft all of their bathing suits using one of a kind pieces that they handpick from all over the world. Their aesthetic is natural, and they use tones and pieces from the beach to create a nice earthy vibe in all their swimsuits. This one below is the one I purchased over a year ago and it’s still in perfect condition. You do have to hand-wash these pieces but you won’t mind, it’s art!

Guadalupe Cid Bikinis

This brand is absolutely amazing. They create their swimsuits from recycled ocean plastic waste! These bikini’s are carefully made between Australia and Argentina. They are a family-owned business with a team that is made up of over 90% women. As if that wasn’t enough to make you love them, they also plant a tree whenever you purchase a bikini.
